Honorable Axel Marcel Addy has served as Minister of Commerce and Industry under Her Excellency, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf since April 2013. In his current capacity, Mr. Addy is also Commissioner on the National Investment Commission, Statutory Member of the President’s Economic Management Team, Statutory Member of the Board of Directors of the National Port Authority, Statutory Member of the Board of Directors of the newly established Liberia Revenue Authority. Furthermore, he is the Representative of Liberia to the World Intellectual Property Organization and Chief Negotiator for Liberia accession process to the World Trade Organization, among others.
Mr. Bhattacharya is a macroeconomist and public policy analyst from Bangladesh and Distinguished Fellow at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), Dhaka, a globally reputed think-tank in Bangladesh. He was the first Executive Director of the CPD (1999-2007) and also worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS). He is Chair of Southern Voice on Post-MDG International Development Goals - a network of 48 think-tanks from South Asia, Africa, and Latin America that has identified a unique space and scope for itself to contribute to this post-MDG dialogue. He has been the Special Adviser on LDCs to the Secretary General, UNCTAD (2009-2010) and the President of UNCTAD's governing board as well as the coordinator of LDC Group in the United Nations System in Geneva. He was the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the WTO, United Nations office, and other international organizations in Geneva (2007-2009).
Dr. Raul Delgado-Wise holds a UNESCO Chair on Migration, Development and Human Rights. He is a Professor and Director of the Doctoral Program in Development Studies at the University of Zacatecas (Mexico), and President of the International Network on Migration and Development. He is an author/editor of 26 books and 170 book chapters and refereed articles, and guest lecturer and key-note speaker in over 35 countries.
Prior to being nominated Permanent Representative of Kenya to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Kamau was Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office at Nairobi, where he served concurrently as Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat). In addition to his diplomatic assignments, Mr. Kamau was International Consultant to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the United Nations AIDS. He has vast experience at the United Nations where he served for over twenty five years mostly in senior management positions at the UNDP, UNICEF and UNTAG.
As of the first of November 2014 Christiaan Rebergen is the Director-General for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In this capacity, Mr. Rebergen is responsible for the aid portfolio covering bilateral development programmes in 15 countries and programmes with multilaterals, NGOs and private sector in the areas of Food Security, Water, Rule of Law and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. The portfolio also includes gender, climate change and private sector development. Before he became Director-General Mr. Rebergen was the deputy DG for over two years. Previous positions held by Mr. Rebergen are Special Ambassador for the Millennium Development Goals, Ambassador for Public Private Partnerships and Deputy Director of the Sustainable Economic Development Department . Before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2002, Mr. Rebergen worked for the Ministry of Finance and the Parliament of the Netherlands . Christiaan Rebergen has a master in Development Economics at the Free University in Amsterdam. He is married and has 4 children.
After serving as District Governor, Deputy Governor, Chief Civil Inspector, Counsellor (Ministry of Labor and Social Security), Director of Strategy Development (Ministry of Labor and Social Security) and Head of the State Personnel Presidency (Prime Ministry) respectively, Dr. Tekinarslan was promoted to the rank of Governor in 2012 and served as governor of the province Aðrý. H.E. Tekinarslan was appointed as Deputy Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior in March 2015.
