Ms Kubiske is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Finance and Development, having previously served as the United States Ambassador to Honduras (2011-2014), Deputy Chief of Mission in Brazil (2008-2011) and Deputy Chief of Mission in the Dominican Republic (2003-2006). Ms Kubiske has been awarded the State Department's highest honour, a Valor Award, as well as the Superior Honor Award for her work in Santo Domingo and, for her public outreach campaign on behalf of the United States-Peru Free Trade Agreement and the United States-Brazil biofuels cooperation. Ms. Kubiske holds a Bachelor's Degree from Brandeis University and a Masters of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) degree from Georgetown University.
Ms. Pinville was appointed to her current post at the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs in June 2015. Since 2012, Ms. Pinville has also served as Secretary at the Social Affairs Committee of the French National Assembly. Between June 2012 and April 2014, she was also National Secretary of the Socialist Party responsible for Health Affairs and served as Member of Parliament for the 4th Charente constituency from June 2007 until July 2015. Ms. Pinville is a retired tax official.
Prior to his current post, Professor Dato' Dr Sothi Rachagan served as Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Malaya and as Vice Chancellor of Perdana University. He holds a B.A. (Malaya), Post-Grad Dip Arts (Otago), M.A (Otago), LL M (Bristol) and PhD (London). He is a Barrister-at-Law and Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Prof. Sothi is a former-president of the International Association of Consumer Law and served as the Chair of the Working Committee on Financial Services of UNCTAD for the revision of the United Nations Guidelines on Consumer Protection.
Mr Hebert Tassano Velaochaga is the Chairman of Peru's National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI), where he is responsible for leading the institution and the design of general policies. Mr Tassano is a lawyer with more than 25 years of experience on competition issues, consumer protection and the regulation of utilities, having previously worked in all four of Peru's utility regulators. He studied law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP).
Prior to his present post, Mr. Yacoub was Senior Advisor to the Minster of Supply and Internal Trade, to the Minister of Transport, to the Minister of Environmental Affairs, the Ministry of Environmental Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior Affairs, and Head of the Inspection Department of the Ministry of Environmental.
Mr Yacoub participated in the drafting, amending, and implementation of existing legislations on environmental protection, public transportation and consumer protection. Mr Yacoub lectures on various environmental inspection, consumer protection law enforcement, governmental administration and other related topics.
