George Rapsomanikis is a Senior Economist in the FAO Agricultural Development Economics Division. His research focuses on issues related to food price volatility, food security, and small-scale agriculture development. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Reading and has authored over fifty journal articles, working papers, book chapters and notes, including work on commodity price bubbles, price transmission, volatility spill-overs, and the relation between food and energy markets. In 2011, as a member of a FAO-OECD editorial team, he coordinated the input of ten International Organizations to the G20 process and the delivery of the InterAgency report to the G20 Agriculture Ministerial 'Price Volatility in Food and Agricultural Markets: Policy Responses'. He has been a Technical Editor of the State of Food Insecurity in the World (2013), and of the FAO Commodity Market Review (2007-08, 2009-10).
Dr. Maarten van der Kamp is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at Cranfield University School of Management. He is also the Founder of Value in Enterprise, a consultancy helping organisations innovate for a more sustainable society. It is his mission to develop entrepreneurs that are equipped to respond to current and emerging environmental and social challenges to create a more sustainable society. Dr. van der Kamp's research is focussed on the management of sustainability in the production and consumption of certified goods, and the practices of entrepreneurship for social change.
